EDUCATION, THE MAIN GOAL
The end is to have an education. Despite all the advantages and
sidetrackings that might result from playing Basketball in the
US, the cameroonian student-athlete is conscious and appreciative
of the unique opportunity that he is being offered. Like we say
in French "joindre l'utile a l'agreable." It is important
to say that the cameroonian student-athlete comes here prepared
academically. With a strong academic background resulting from
the education received in his country. That is why among the graduated
student-athletes we found many that have completed tough and rigorous
majors such as Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Chemistry Mathematics,
Political science, Accouting, Electrical Engineering. Some have
had minors and others have even double majored. So far among all
the cameroonian that have played in the NCAA Division I level,
the graduation rate has been 100%.
